Travis + Nicole, who live in Queensland, enjoyed an incredible winter destination wedding in Sydney, bringing together guests from Melbourne and New Zealand along for the ride. Our bride and groom had the pick of Sydney wedding locations, starting with a late afternoon ceremony at the iconic St Mary’s Cathedral, followed by a location shoot at Paddington Reservoir Gardens. Because the sun sets earlier in winter, we only had around 20 minutes until sunset on location, so we all brought our A-game to get some amazing shots of our bride and groom and their bridal party.
The stunning reception was held at The Grounds – one of the most incredible Sydney wedding venues – styled to perfection with flowers by The Grounds Florals by Silva and complemented by warm tungsten lighting which created a gorgeous ambient glow, especially beautiful during the first dance. We were fortunate to also utilise areas around The Grounds for some couple shots with our bride and groom, while their guests continued partying.
While we were able to get some glamorous, magazine-worthy photographs of this beautiful couple, in the end, our favourite photos of the day were those candid moments, looks and laughter shared between them when they thought we weren’t watching.
