“Just the two of us, building castles in the sky”
Adam + Belinda have known each other since they were kids. Their families had mutual kumovi (godparents) and so they were often at the same parties growing up. Fast forward to 2017, and Adam’s brother got engaged to one of Belinda’s close friends (now future sister in law!). Adam + Belinda connected at the engagement party and two days later, Adam called asking Belinda to hang out at the beach for the day with him. They started seeing more of each other and a month later, Adam asked Belinda to be his girlfriend!
Five years later and they had just bought their first home together and to celebrate, Adam planned a night out in Sydney. Belinda says:
“We were in the hotel room getting ready for dinner, and as we were about to leave, I turned around and Adam was on his knee proposing. I can’t even remember a word he said to me during the proposal because I was so shocked that he was FINALLY proposing. We celebrated with a glass of champagne while face-timing all of our family to tell them the news. It was the perfect proposal”.
Adam + Belinda set about preparing for their wedding day, excited to finally get married and celebrate their love with their friends and family. After some Croatian traditions in the morning, they said their vows at Mary Queen of Croats Catholic Church in Figtree.
We then went to nearby Austinmeer for photos before their Sydney wedding reception at Doltone House in Sylvania Waters. The night was led by MC Elvis Miletic and guests partied the night away filled with the warmth of two beautiful families coming together.
