“You’re my end and my beginning, even when I lose I’m winning”

Aleks + Sanja met on Twitter! They fell in love and Aleks had been wanting to propose but Sanja was very adamant on not wanting the distraction of wedding planning during vet school. At the end of 6 years of vet school, they took a trip away to Orange to celebrate. Sanja says:

“We were staying at Nashdale Lanes, at one of their glamping cabins – which was incredibly beautiful but also a little nerve racking for me as glamping was certainly outside of my comfort zone. On the first night we got there, on one of the happiest days of my life, while trying to hide his nerves he brought out a wine bottle and cheese platter and ‘for the final piece’ got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I said yes without hesitation, after a big hug and kiss, with absolute awe on my face he put the most perfect ring on my finger. As he had taken the box containing the ring out of his back pocket of his jeans, the corner of the box had caused a massive rip to the pocket. We both laughed and he went to go get changed. Even though I had a little feeling it might happen that weekend, Aleks caught me by surprise by proposing on the first night we were there so that we could enjoy the remainder of our trip as fiancé’s. We then sat there for the remainder of that afternoon, starring as the sun setting on the beautiful vineyard in Orange, with a glass of white wine in our hands talking about our future. And the rest is history”

They planned their 2022 Sydney wedding excited to finally be able to see everything come together after a year and a half of planning. They enjoyed a day with festivity and tradition, with Aleks coming to Sanja’s house in the morning to take her to the church. They said their vows at St George Serbian Church in Cabramatta and following that, our newlyweds and their bridal party enjoyed a photo session around The Rocks.

With no detail left unturned, their reception at Doltone House Darling Island was stunningly decorated by Anna Wang and guests partied the night away hosted by Elvis Miletic.
