“Our hearts are like firestones and when they strike we feel the love”

Alex + Samantha met through a friend in high school via Skype. They stayed friends until they were both single and the timing was right to take things further. Five years into their romance and Alex booked a very special romantic lunch at 6Head in Circular Quay. Samantha thought it odd they were going for lunch as they usually did dinner dates but she was happy to go along. They got dressed up and the weather was spectacular. Alex told Samantha they were invited to his parents house to cut cake for his sister’s birthday. Sam wasn’t suss because the family had played along. Sam says:

“On the day, it was something like 30 degrees and by the end of the lunch and some drinks, I really wanted to get changed into more comfortable clothes before we headed to his parents but Alex insisted we go straight there. When we got there, I opened the front door and instantly knew something was happening. There was music on, candles and photos on the floor leading me outside where there was a big Marry Me sign. Alex got on one knee and proposed! He also organised all our nearest and dearest to come over for dinner and enjoy the night with us as a little engagement party which is what I told him I always wanted”

Alex + Samantha were excited to finally get married and have a memorable and fun day with their friends + family. They had a beautiful ceremony at Mary Immaculate Waverley. We took photos around the grand structures at State Library before their beautiful reception at Linseed House at The Grounds of Alexandria where they partied the night away!
