“We sat on a roof, named every star and you showed me a place where you can be what you are”
Daniel + Emily met working at Mounties where Emily was the concierge and Daniel a personal trainer. They fell in love, bought a house and got a puppy, Herman. One drizzly, freezing cold June morning, they ventured to the Three Sisters Lookout with Herman as a last minute getaway. Daniel had something special in store and proposed to Emily’s surprise. Emily says:
“The shock of it happening meant I don’t even remember him asking me, instead when we were debriefing I said to him, “It was weird you said “Do you wanna get married’”, to which he said “I asked you “Will you marry me” and you looked straight through me and thought I would ask a different way”. We then realised I had blacked out for a second and we were very grateful I hadn’t launched the dog in my arms over the lookout”
Daniel + Emily enjoyed a beautiful ceremony at their local parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Mt Prichard. We took our bridal party for photos around Western Regional Parklands before their reception at Novella on the Park in Abbotsbury. With the sun shining and an unseasonably warm winter’s day, it really was picture perfect for Daniel and Emily!
