“When love happens and when life hits, there’s me and there’s you“
Dean + Marina first crossed paths at King Tom Croatian Club and fell in love. Three years later and they went away for Marina’s birthday weekend. Marina says:
“We went for a nice dinner and when we were leaving to pay Dean started to itch his legs and tell me he needed to go back to the hotel to get Zyrtec (this is nothing new to me because Dean suffers the worst allergies and get hives all the time). I was so annoyed that we had to go all the way back to the hotel. When we got there he was rummaging through his bag looking for the “tablets” (haha – he never had any allergies that night). Being the nosey person I am, I sat right on the edge of the bed behind him (he wishes I needed to go to the bathroom or fix my makeup). When we turned around, he popped open that little black box and asked me to marry him. My initial answer was YES but immediately after I replied with “did you ask my dad?” We continued our night, drinking at a bar, face-timing family and friends and couldn’t wait to get home on Sunday to party with everyone”
Dean + Marina planned their wedding and Dean says he was excited to be “officially married to my loved one”. Their day was filled with fun and festivity as they incorporated the Croatian tradition of picking up the bride, elated to see each other. They had a beautiful ceremony at Blacktown South Croatian Catholic Church. They then enjoyed another tradition after they were married of our groom carrying his bride into his house. We followed that with a photoshoot with the bridal party before heading to Novella on the Park where guests partied all night, hosted by MC Elvis Miletic with Prva Liga getting everyone on the dance floor.
