“I’d do anything with you anywhere”

Denis + Alysia met through Denis’ sister. They all went on a cruise as friends and blossomed after that. Four and a half years in, and Denis was keen to make plans for their future together. Unfortunately, Alysia had a rough week needing emergency surgery to remove her appendix. After a week at home resting, Denis convinced Alysia that the doctor’s recommendation was to get moving and get some fresh air and so suggested they go apple picking in Bilpin. They then went for lunch at Bilpin Cider Co. Alysia says,

“We went down into the grass area that opened up to a big paddock and there was a set up of balloons, roses, chocolate covered strawberries, wine etc and I turned around to say, ‘omg babe someone is proposing’ and there he was down on one knee!”

Denis + Alysia said their vows at Mary Queen of Croats in Figtree, their wedding date being their 6 year anniversary! We then went down to the Wollongong Botanic Gardens for photos before their reception at Panorama House with its spectacular water view. It was a night to remember, full of romance and many happy smiles from our bride + groom, ecstatic to finally (and officially) call each other “husband” and “wife”.
