“You’re just too good to be true, can’t take my eyes off of you”

Djordje + Jelena met at a family function, Djordje’s brother’s and Jelena’s cousin’s baby shower. Jelena admits her first impression of Djorje wasnt the best and they didn’t hit it off until another event six months later. Jelena says, “I felt like I had known him my whole life and felt so calm and knew that there was something special there that I must’ve missed on our first encounter!”

One year later and Djordje wanted to make Jelena his wife. Jelena says:

“We were getting ready to go for our usual coastal walk from Coogee to Bondi. As I was about to put my shoes on Djordje mentioned it was raining. I said that it didn’t matter and we could simply do something else like grab lunch locally. He got quite upset and seemed to be devastated that the rain had ruined our plans (unlike him!) He then smiled and said he couldn’t wait any longer and wasn’t going to wait for the weather to get better (Djordje isn’t one to be able to hold in surprises for very long). He pulled out the ring and became extremely shy (which was so sweet and unusual to see!!) He said I think you know what I am about to ask you. I became extremely emotional and said yes of course! I loved that we were in the comfort of the home that we only recently purchased and loved!! And how simple and beautiful everything was. He originally intended to take me to the a cliff off the Bondi coast where we shared our
first kiss and where we both knew that this was a special once in a lifetime kind of love. It couldn’t have been a more special proposal”.

Djordje + Jelena were excited to become husband + wife, looking forward to the emotion of seeing each other at the church and celebrating with their son and everyone on the dance floor! They had a beautiful ceremony at the Serbian Orthodox Church of Saint Sava in Homebush West, surrounded by their nearest and dearest to witness them making the most important commitment of their lives.

For our location photos, we took our bride + groom to the Opera House as well as Observatory Hill. From there, we went to Deckhouse in Woolwich for their reception where they partied the night away!
