“Our hearts are like firestones and when they strike, we feel the love”

Frankie + Felicia went to high school together, although Frankie was in Felicia’s sisters year and she was always known to him as her little sister. Following high school, Felicia was working in retail and one day a friend came into the store accompanied by Frankie. They exchanged a few words and later that evening, continued to chat and from that day onwards, were inseparable. Felicia says, “The best part of this story is that I was never rostered on to work that day and that was the first time Frankie walked into my store. Sometimes things have a way of falling into place just as they should”. 

Four years later, and Frankie took Felicia away to the Hunter Valley for the weekend. Felicia says:

“He always spoke about proposing after our house was built so I was convinced it was not going to happen anytime soon. Two days in and no ring, I turned to him and said, “A small part of me thought you might have proposed to me on this trip” and he just smiled and shook his head. On our final evening, we had dinner reservations and Frankie suggested to get there early for some drinks. On the way to dinner, Frankie took me on a detour by the lake house, I told him I wanted to see it before the trip ended. Arriving to the lake house, I saw champagne, rose petals and strawberries set up by the water. Frankie grabbed my hands, said a romantic speech and got down on one knee. I instantly starting crying with joy and of course said yes. It really was one of the best feelings, we just wanted to hold onto that moment forever”.

Frankie + Felicia celebrated their wedding in July 2022 at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Horsley Park, witnessed by their happy family and friends, all excited to see these two say ‘I do’. Our newlyweds enjoyed a photoshoot around the city before their reception at Doltone House Hyde Park. One of the moments of they day they were most looking forward to was being introduced as husband + wife at the reception. Felicia says, “We feel like that would be the best moment, all that planning is behind you,
you are officially married and everyone you love and care about is in one room celebrating your love”. And it really was an amazing moment!
