“Oh my mama told me there’ll be days like this”

There is a saying for every St Pat’s girl, there is a St Greg’s boy and this rings true for James + Grace who met at a teenage get together at Mt Annan Botanic Gardens 10 years ago, while both were still in high school at St Gregory’s College and St Patrick’s College respectively.

Eight years of dating later and James had planned to propose although his proposal date fell on the weekend of lockdown in June 2021! He had to be extra patient and wait until November 2021 to carry out his plans. While staying at the Crown in Sydney, James organised flowers and champagne to arrive to the room while they were out. When they got back to their room, James got down on one knee and they were able to have a very special private moment, just the two of them.

James + Grace were excited to become husband + wife, looking forward to “marrying each others best friend and being able to celebrate that with all of our favourite people in one room”. They had a beautiful ceremony at Sergeants Mess, celebrating their union with their family and friends. James teared up at seeing his beautiful bride come down the aisle and they said their vows overlooking the sparkling Harbour.

For our location photos, we kept it simple and fuss free and took our bride + groom around Sergeants Mess. They headed back for their reception where they partied the night away on the dance floor!
