“To me, you are perfect”
Luke + Cassandra met through a mutual friend although shortly after meeting, they realised they had so many connections it was bound to happen! They connected on social media and after a while, Luke built up the courage to ask Cassandra on a date although had a 6-week overseas trip coming up. Cassandra says:
“Me being stubborn and Italian – I said to him, go overseas and if you come back and we are still talking, let’s go out then and see where this goes (I really played hard to get – poor guy lol). Everyday, whilst in Europe he messaged me and we spoke on the phone. He sent me flowers for my 21st birthday whilst he was away. He came back from Europe and the rest was history”
Five years later and Luke had to ask Cassandra another important question! Cassandra says:
“It was most magical and perfect day! We arrived in Whale Beach and went for a beautiful stroll on the greens, just outside one of my bucket list restaurants – Jonah’s on the Beach. It was simple, but just perfect. It was just us two and a photographer hiding up the top, on the restaurant’s balcony. Luke mentioned he had a surprise, straight to it, no word fussing and got down on one knee. All he said was “Will you Marry Me?” – I asked if this was happening? He had to wait for me to overcome the shock before I said “Yes!” I always mentioned to Luke that I did not want to know, before he asked the question! I did not want to walk into a room filled with signs, candles or flowers – I just wanted us. So he did just that. The photographer came down and took some gorgeous shots, Luke gave me flowers and we enjoyed the moment over champagne. We then had a wonderful lunch at Jonah’s…I was so excited and in so much shock – that I don’t even remember what we ate!”
Luke + Cassandra planned the most perfect day alongside talented planner + stylist, Kailey Kirk Weddings and Events. They said their vows at Mary Immaculate Church in Waverley, our happy couple overjoyed at being announced husband + wife.
Following the Ceremony, we went to the Opera House with their bridal party for a sophisticated shoot, our bride’s beautiful gown complementing the chic and iconic space.
Luke + Cassandra’s wedding reception at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf was an elegant and fun-filled affair. The night was led by MC Robert Galati who ensured everyone had an amazing time!
