“They say you know when you know, well I know – I know you’re the one”

Marc + Elena met in a group fitness class at Massive Workouts five years ago. They fell in love and three years later, in March of 2020, they managed to sneak a trip away to Fiji. Elena says:

“Marc and my parents had me convinced it [a proposal] wasn’t happening in Fiji, yet all my friends said it would. We arrived at our resort and on the bed it said ‘Will You Marry Me?’ I turned around and Marc was down on one knee. To be honest, I couldn’t even tell you what he said to me when he proposed because I couldn’t believe it was happening and we were both nervous!”

Little did they both know that this would be their last trip away in a while. Lockdown in Australia commenced that week and so their first week of being engaged was also one spent in isolation as they quarantined on their return.

Marc + Elena didn’t have the easiest run with wedding planning. Sadly they had to postpone their original date due to Sydney’s second lockdown. They were therefore extra excited to finally walk down the aisle at their local parish, Our Lady of Victories in Horsley Park. Their wedding was a beautiful day and the elation of our newlyweds is heartwarming to see as they make their way out of the church as husband + wife. Following the Ceremony, our team went to Paddington Reservoir with the bridal party for photos, which continued on at The Grounds.

The wedding reception at The Grounds of Alexandria’s Linseed House was all kinds of beautiful! Led by MC Robert Craparotta it was a vibrant family affair with lots of fun, cheer and dancing as everyone celebrated the new Mr + Mrs Colosi!
