“I wont let go of you”

Michael + Jessica  have always known each other through their families. But it was at a New Years Eve party in 2012/2013 where the fireworks started (and not just those to celebrate the incoming year!)

Their journey wasn’t always smooth but it was meant to be. Nine years later and Michael was determined to give Jess the best surprise of all! Jess says:

“We had a little trip to the Central Coast booked in for early December 2021 and I was secretly hoping he would pop the question that weekend. Michael knew I was waiting for the proposal to happen with all my not so subtle hints! I was so sure I would know when it would happen but when it came to the day I was completely shocked! Michael chose to propose to me the day before we went away, because he knew I would never expect that. My family had told me that we were going to a family dinner at my aunty’s house and that I had to make sure I was home from work on time. Mum called me at least 10 times throughout the day to make sure I was on time and somehow I still wasn’t suspicious. When I arrived home and walked through the front door I was greeted with a trail of red roses and candles leading up to an amazing set up with a huge light up sign saying “will you marry me” and Michael standing there waiting for me. I was in shock and could not stop crying!!! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, it was the easiest YES of my life. The surprises didn’t stop there, he then told me that he had already locked in the date and booked the church and the reception venue! (of course the next booking we made was with Mark Jay – that very same night!) We then had all of our closest family come over to celebrate with us that night. The next day we got to go on our weekend away as an engaged couple!”

They enjoyed a beautiful ceremony at Our Lady of Victories in Horsley Park. both looking forward to the moment of saying “I do”. We took our bridal party for photos around Parramatta before their reception at Novella on the Park in Abbotsbury. The room was beautifully styled by NPM Events and guests were treated to a fun night with Brown Sugar bringing the tunes.
