“There is no heart for me like yours”

Nikki + Tomi first met at Bosna Club in 2012, although they took some time to get to know each other, and began dating 7 years later. They fell in love and after a year, it came time for Tomi to ask the big question. Tomi says:

“Originally, I was going to propose to Nikki in Positano in 2020. However, due to Covid, our trip to Europe was cancelled. That same year, we planned a trip to the Hunter Valley, where I had planned to surprise Nikki with a hot air balloon ride as an early birthday present. Nikki was definitely shocked by this because I’m petrified of heights, and she even asked me if she was going up by herself. This wasn’t the only surprise I had planned for the day, I intended to propose while in the hot air balloon, unfortunately due to bad weather this was cancelled as well. We still had plans to go on a wine tour around the Hunter. I was stuck with the ring in my pocket for the whole day. It was a mission to keep it hidden from Nikki and to make sure I didn’t lose it. At one point Nikki went to hug me, I awkwardly pushed her away worried that she was going to brush up against the ring box. I managed to save the surprise, except I couldn’t avoid the onslaught of questions that followed – “Why didn’t you hug me?”, “Why are you being weird?”. After a day of visiting many wineries, we made it to our final stop – Mira Wines in Pokolbin, just on sunset. Our driver bypassed the cellar doors and drove us to a hilltop amongst the vines. We got out to have a look at the view. After what felt like an eternity, I mustered up the courage to drop to one knee and ‘popped the question’”

Fast forward to 2022, and the day finally arrived on Saturday July 30, where Tomi + Nikki made their promise before God at Blacktown Croatian Catholic Church. Tomi was excited for the moment to finally see Nikki walk down the aisle and his teary reaction said it all.

Our happy couple enjoyed a photoshoot around Paddington Reservoir before their Sydney wedding reception at Macquarie Paradiso Function Centre in Liverpool where they celebrated with lots of love and good cheer, with Elvis Miletic on the mic and entertainment from Prva Liga and DJ KT.
